Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter!  He is risen!!
I love Easter.  It's my favorite time of year.  I love being part of our church year round but I especially love worship service on Easter Sunday.  We've had a very fun weekend.  Here are the highlights...

Our church had a petting zoo, lost sheep teaching and skit and an Easter egg hunt yesterday for the kids.  Katelyn was so exciting.  She has been talking about this day for weeks.  Fortunately, the weather was 60 degrees and sunny.  It was  beautiful out and all the kids had a blast.

Noah loved looking at all the animals.  He wasn't afraid of any of them.

Katelyn loves all the animals too!

I think she wanted this little pony to come home with us.

This was Noah's favorite thing to do with his Easter bucket.  Hilarious!

I can't believe Noah is big enough to ride up on daddy's shoulders.

She found the hay bale.

Oh this is exciting!

Katelyn was sitting with all the kids watching the skit about the lost sheep that the shepherd went to find.

The kids were divided by age and when the leader said go, off they went.

Michael helped Noah find a few eggs.

Katelyn was in a frenzy to find as many eggs as possible and she didn't quit until she was sure there were no more out there.

He got one!

Once he put his three little eggs in the bucket all he wanted to do was dump them back out again.

Silly boy.

Yep, I love him.

Easter baskets for the littles.

All ready for church on Easter morning.  Beautiful!  Katelyn picket out her hat and was so excited to get to wear it on Easter.

Noah sits and reads books for a seriously long amount of time.  I love this!

Our beautiful girl.  Katelyn asked Jesus into her heart a couple of weeks ago and she can clearly tell you the gospel message.  In light of this, all of our bible stories and crafts were especially great this year.  Katelyn was anxious to discuss everything.

I made a ham, au gratin potatoes and asparagus tonight for dinner.  After dinner
Katelyn and I dyed Easter eggs because we still hadn't gotten to that project yet.  We had a great weekend! I'm sad to see it come to an end.

Catching up...as always

The last couple of weeks have been BUSY!  I'm not sure where the time has gone...but, here are some pictures.

There's nothing cuter than a little boy in a baseball cap.  :)

We went to the park a couple of weeks ago.  The weather was beautiful.  It's not anymore.  Now it's just COLD.  Way too cold for late March.  Spring can come anytime now!

Have I mentioned how much I love these two?

 Noah loves the swings!

 Katelyn loves the park.

 Such a happy little guy.

She's such a monkey.  After these past months of gymnastics she likes climbing and hanging upside down on the bars.

Noah's walking all over and every time I see Michael walking along, holding his hand, it melts my heart.

He's starting to look more and more like a little boy and less like a baby.  I'm not sure how I feel about this.

Noah was liking the slide also.

I love this picture.  A little boy playing with mulch.  Perfect.

Katelyn was climbing through the tube...

and of course her little brother followed right behind.

 Sweetness.

Here he goes.

Vacation!

We spent last week in Surprise (Phoenix area) with my parents.  What a great vacation!

Here we are getting ready to fly out.  Katelyn was SO excited to go on an airplane.  The kids did great.  (Although, entertaining a one year old who does not want to sit still for hours is not for the faint of heart!)

Mom and dad took us to The World Wildlife Zoo.  It was awesome.  The animal exhibits are set up in a way where you can get really close and even feed some of them.  We really enjoyed it.

I mean look how close we got to this shark!

 Sassy girl.

We got to feed the lories.

 Grammy was a natural.

I got to feed a giraffe.

Katelyn loved being at Grammy and Papa's house.

Here's Noah walking around.  He does great if you hold his hand.  He even took his first real steps while we were there.  He can take 5-6 in a row before he falls down.

Papa bought Katelyn her own golf club.  She was super excited to go putting with her Papa!

This is officially my favorite picture of my mom.  :)

Katelyn really liked riding in the golf cart.  She made papa take her several times.  I don't think he minded.

 Off they go!

Mom and dad were so nice and let Michael and I leave the kids with them for 24 hours so we could have our own mini-vacation.  Of course we had to start at In-N-Out!!  Michael's first bite ever.

 Best burger!

We stayed at a resort that had a big pool area and then it had half a dozen little pools like this spread out over the property.  We had this one to ourselves for a little while.  Ahh....

The view from the pool area was beautiful.  The weather was perfect. 70 degrees. Not a cloud in the sky.

 Grammy and the kids.

Michael and I took Katelyn to White Tanks State Park for a little hike.
 Another perfect day.

Katelyn wanted to climb every rock along the trail.

We need to photoshop Noah into this picture.

 Papa and Noah.

On the flight home the only empty seat on the plane was next to Michael.  Thank you, Jesus!!!  So Noah got to sit like a big boy and watch Super Why (his favorite show...he gets really excited about letters).

Oh...one more golf cart shot.  :)

 Sweetness.

Katelyn made a list of all the things we needed to bring on the trip with us.  She checked things off.  She wrote everything by herself.  I love that sweet girl.

We had a wonderful vacation and mom and dad were so good to us.  It was VERY hard to come back to cold snowy weather.  I'm officially ready for spring!!!
